Entertainment Weekly's website now shows three official pictures (probably the very first ones) of The Hobbit movies, accompanied by quotes. Those very exciting pictures feature Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Peter Jackson and Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf. To see them, go here.

Peter Jackson has posted on his FB page again, and he announced new actors for The Hobbit: LOST star Evangeline Lilly will play an Elven maiden (not present in the book) called Tauriel, and Barry Humphries will portray the Gobelin King.

Luke Evans has now been cast as Bard the Bowman! And also, Benedict Cumberbatch, who Martin Freeman noted would possibly be in The Hobbit, has been cast as Smaug the Dragon and the Necromancer. I'll try to get more cast bios up speedy quick. :)

The Hobbit Blog has announced that the first part, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released on December 14th. The second part, The Hobbit: There and Back Again will be released on December 13th, 2013.

Also, my cousin is currently in New Zealand. He is helping people rebuild homes and other buildings. He also tried out for a part in The Hobbit! Let's hear it for my cousin! :D
